Although nowadays satellites are becoming more frequent in the outback although not as much as you would see near the city. It is said that by 2016 in the outback about 24 satellites will be places across 10 sites in grass paddocks.
Coaxial cables are used quite a lot in the outback. They are used by placing the cable into a radio transmitter ect. Coaxial cables can also be found in modern homes.
